Uzbekistan and Argentina to Expand Trade Ties

Uzbekistan and Argentina are set to broaden their trade relationship.

In Tashkent, Alisher Shaykhov, an adviser to the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, held a meeting with Enrique Ignacio Ferrer Vieyra, Argentina's recently appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Uzbekistan.

Discussions between the two centered on fostering trade and economic connections, encouraging investment collaboration, and increasing interactions between the business sectors of both nations.

Shaykhov initiated the meeting by congratulating the ambassador on his new role and expressing hopes for his successful efforts in strengthening the bond between Uzbekistan and Argentina.

Attendees at the meeting pinpointed several promising sectors for joint ventures, including agriculture, the food and textile industries, footwear production, pharmaceuticals, and the electrical engineering and chemical industries. The jewelry sector, tourism, healthcare, and education were also identified as potential areas for cooperation.

Both parties affirmed their commitment to ongoing practical engagement in these specified fields, to intensifying business interactions, and to facilitating the execution of shared projects.
