Six Blocks of Tashkent Housing Project Built Without Registration
Uzbek authorities said six blocks of the Newport residential complex in Tashkent were built without mandatory registration, with the case referred to law enforcement.

Six apartment buildings within a Tashkent housing development were erected without proper registration, according to authorities.
Uzbekistan's Construction and Housing and Utilities Inspection addressed public concerns regarding the Newport residential complex, developed by Mega Logistics Service in Tashkent's Yakkasaray district. The inspection confirmed that identified irregularities have been rectified and legal action pursued against those accountable.
The inspection reported that Mega Logistics Service LLC is undertaking construction and installation across nine blocks on its property. Three of these blocks secured favorable assessments from both the Architectural and Urban Planning Council's working body and the state expert review authority. These three structures were subsequently registered with the Tashkent Territorial Inspection, thereby permitting their construction to advance in line with established protocols.
Nevertheless, the inspection discovered that the remaining six blocks were constructed without the legally mandated registration.
The agency stated it had repeatedly issued written directives to Mega Logistics Service LLC, the project developer, stipulating that construction could only commence after urban planning documentation was approved and the facilities were registered as legally required.
Due to the company's non-compliance with these directives, responsible officials faced administrative penalties. The inspection also submitted a formal report concerning the developer's technical supervision representatives and imposed sanctions upon them.
The inspection indicated that evidence gathered during the investigation into these violations has been submitted to law enforcement for legal evaluation.
The agency further noted that consistent inspections were conducted at the site and that all actions were taken within the scope of its legal authority.
The inspection also advised social media users to consider all aspects of the situation and to corroborate information using official and credible sources.
