Nurses from Uzbekistan may be sent to the United States
The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Seattle met with the management of Korn Ferry, one of the largest US human capital and staffing companies, to discuss the recruitment of nurses. The issues of their retraining, certification and licensing, and their orderly, safe and profitable placement in US hospitals were also considered.

In the USA, there is a constant high demand for such professions as nurses and doctors. However, America needs professional medical workers who speak English, have advanced knowledge in their field, and are qualified. Korn Ferry representatives noted that the need for nurses and auxiliary clinical and technical specialists is growing every year. The company expressed its readiness to cooperate with Uzbekistan in this regard.
During the conversation, representatives of the Consulate provided detailed information on the geography of external labor migration of Uzbekistan, issues of training targeted personnel and their protection abroad.
At the end of the negotiations, it was agreed that Korn Ferry would study the specific needs of potential employers for personnel, the required specialties, the level of qualification of candidates and the criteria for training.
It is also planned to conduct a comparative analysis of the differences between the nursing training systems in Uzbekistan and the United States, including language proficiency, clinical training, recognition of qualifications, licensing and immigration requirements.
The parties intend to initially start the project with a small pilot group. Based on the results and the demand from US employers, the scale of attracting nurses from Uzbekistan may be expanded.
