Mourinho introduces strict rules for Real Madrid players
Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho has introduced new, strict rules for players' nutrition, training and recovery from injuries in an attempt to improve discipline in the team.
Spanish journalist Jose Felix Diaz reports that players will no longer be allowed to choose their own diet. The menu will be drawn up only based on a scheme approved by the club's dietician. Also, any player who is even a minute late for training will be forced to work out individually in the gym, without exception.
In addition, the treatment and recovery processes from injuries have also been fully controlled. Now the recovery process must take place only under the supervision of the team's medical staff, at the club's base, and the involvement of external specialists is strictly prohibited.
Real Madrid officially announced the appointment of Jose Mourinho as their new coach on June 11. The Portuguese coach managed the club from 2010 to 2013, winning the Spanish league, cup and super cup under his leadership.
