Marijuana Seized from Nukus Resident in Joint Operation
Law enforcement officers in Nukus have seized nearly 78 grams of marijuana from a local resident during a joint operation and opened a criminal case.
Marijuana Confiscated from Nukus Resident in Collaborative Operation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The anti-smuggling unit of the Customs Administration of the Republic of Karakalpakstan has intercepted the illegal distribution of drugs, confiscating nearly 78 grams of marijuana from a resident of Nukus.
This operation was conducted in collaboration with personnel from the State Security Service, internal affairs agencies, and the National Guard.
During the operation, law enforcement officials approached a citizen walking through the city. In the presence of witnesses, they performed a personal search on the individual.
Inside the person's black handbag, officers found 16 matchboxes filled with marijuana. The total weight of the confiscated substance, including its packaging, amounted to 77.56 grams.
Following the seizure, the Customs Administration of the Republic of Karakalpakstan has opened a criminal case in accordance with the relevant articles of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan.
