Korean-Funded Plant to Open in Ferghana Region in 2026

A manufacturing plant, backed by South Korean investment from AHA Co., Ltd, is slated to commence operations in Uzbekistan's Ferghana Region by September 2026.

The project represents a US$20 million investment.

Ferghana Region Governor Khairullo Bozorov recently met with a delegation led by AHA Co., Ltd head Ku Gi Do, which also included representatives from Chinese partner firms.

Discussions during the meeting focused on the ongoing construction of the facility within Eco City, collaborative ventures in information technology and education, and potential future areas for cooperation.

The new plant is projected to produce interactive electronic boards (IFPDs), electric vehicle chargers, medical devices, and other goods, intended for both the domestic market and export.

Ku Gi Do stated that the construction and installation phases at the site are nearing completion. He also mentioned that AHA Co., Ltd, in conjunction with its Chinese partners, is working to establish the production of components and spare parts, and to secure grant funding for educational and information technology projects.

The meeting additionally covered topics related to finalizing the facility's construction and bringing it online.

Officials responsible were directed to ensure the swift completion of their assigned duties.

Khairullo Bozorov affirmed that foreign partners' initiatives aimed at fostering investment cooperation would be supported. Both parties committed to ongoing efforts to broaden their mutually beneficial collaboration.
