Illegal violations worth 9.3 billion soums identified in public procurement

The Anti-Corruption Agency has identified cases that restricted competition in public procurement and violated legal requirements.

Violations of the law in public procurement totaling more than 9.3 billion soums were identified. These cases were revealed as a result of inspections conducted by the Anti-Corruption Agency to ensure transparency and fair competition.

In particular, violations were recorded in procurements worth 1.74 billion soums under the order of the "Directorate for the Operation and Construction and Repair of Buildings" and 1.6 billion soums at "Bekobod Food Combine" LLC.

Violations were also identified in procurements of a number of medical, educational and improvement organizations in Urgench, Uchkurgan, Piskent and Yangi Bozor districts, Navoi city and Surkhandarya region.

During the inspections, it was revealed that violations were committed in the evaluation processes contrary to the requirements of public procurement legislation. In some cases, restrictions on competition between procurement participants were observed. These violations were recorded in state procurements carried out by order of various organizations.

The largest violation was in a procurement worth 1.74 billion soums, followed by procurements worth 1.6 billion, 1.55 billion and 1.43 billion soums.

The Agency filed appropriate complaints regarding the identified cases. As a result, the protocols of the procurement commission on determining the winner were canceled. The documents collected during the inspections were sent to law enforcement agencies for legal action.
