Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) – The Competition Development and Consumer Protection Committee of Uzbekistan has initiated an investigation into a potential breach of competition law concerning a tender valued at 5.7 billion soums. The tender in question involves the acquisition of 475 sets of seismic sensors.
The committee's review was prompted by a social media post titled "One Address, Shared History and a Multi-Billion Tender."
According to the committee, the Republican Center for Seismic Forecast Monitoring, operating under the Ministry of Emergency Situations, issued the tender for the seismic sensor procurement on August 4, 2026.
Following its examination, the committee reported discovering indications of non-compliance with Article 29 of Uzbekistan's Law on Competition by the Republican Center for Seismic Forecast Monitoring, along with Drilltechpro LLC and Edulab LLC. The committee suggests that the actions of these entities during the procurement process may have limited or resulted in the limitation of competition.
Consequently, the committee has formally launched a case against the Republican Center for Seismic Forecast Monitoring, Drilltechpro LLC, and Edulab LLC.
