Ziroat Mirziyoyeva called on the global community to unite efforts in the fight against childhood oncology
First Lady Ziroat Mirziyoyeva addressed the international community, governments, and scientific organizations with a call to work together to help children with oncological diseases and their families. She made this statement at the II International Congress on Pediatric Oncology, which is taking place in Samarkand.
"Illness and suffering know no political borders, nationality, or income level. Let us unite for a prosperous future so that no child and no family is left alone with their pain," Ziroat Mirziyoyeva said.
The Congress "From Recovery to Well-being" is held as part of the World Summit "Investing in Children's Well-being: A Path to Sustainable and Equitable Development for Future Generations." Representatives of health authorities from Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Russia, the World Health Organization, international professional associations, foreign clinics, and the scientific community are taking part in its work.
A special part of the program was a performance by students of Mehrli Maktab. They told personal stories, sharing their treatment experiences and hopes for the future.
The International Congress is dedicated to childhood oncology issues, treatment results, and improving the quality of life for children after recovery.
