YouTube offers bloggers millions of dollars for exclusive content

YouTube is willing to pay millions of dollars for exclusive content.

According to Bloomberg, YouTube has begun negotiating multimillion-dollar exclusive deals with creators of popular channels. The aim of these offers is to deter creators from publishing videos on other platforms.

Under the terms proposed by YouTube, content creators must post their videos exclusively on the platform and refrain from publishing them on third-party sites for a specified period. In exchange, YouTube is willing to provide creators with direct financial compensation or a share of the revenue generated from collaborations with well-known brands. The deals have not yet been finalized, but the company is in the final stages of negotiations with several potential partners.

At the same time, creators who already have agreements with competing platforms, such as Netflix, may face certain restrictions from YouTube. These creators will be less likely to be included in YouTube marketing campaigns, and they will not be able to claim a share of the revenue from certain major advertising contracts. The publication emphasizes that the boundaries between various platforms are becoming increasingly blurred: YouTube acquired the rights to broadcast the Oscars ceremony, and Netflix, in turn, is actively attracting creators of popular projects previously published on YouTube.
