The program was organized by the "Yuksalish" movement in cooperation with the German Konrad Adenauer Foundation and is taking place from October 27 to 29 in Tashkent and Bukhara. It is attended by more than 20 young politicians, deputies, civil servants, and public figures from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, participants were presented with the key directions of state policy in the tourism sector, measures to promote the country's tourism potential on the international stage, preserve historical and cultural heritage, and develop regional tourism infrastructure.
Special emphasis was placed on the achieved results. In particular, the number of foreign tourists visiting Uzbekistan grew from 2 million people in 2016 to 11.7 million in 2025. Today, tourists travel to Uzbekistan from more than 200 countries worldwide, and a visa-free regime applies to citizens of 95 states. In addition, the number of hotels in the country has increased by 2.2 times. Looking ahead to 2030, there are plans to bring the number of foreign tourists to more than 20 million people.
As part of an open dialogue, the participants discussed prospects for improving tourism infrastructure, creating new routes, supporting youth initiatives, and growing mutual tourist flows between the countries of Central Asia and Azerbaijan.
The importance of joint tourism projects based on a shared historical and cultural heritage, as well as the expansion of regional cooperation and the strengthening of good-neighborly relations, was highlighted separately.
Following the meeting, the young leaders were able to ask their questions directly to the Chairman of the Tourism Committee and receive detailed answers.
