Young athletes from Kazakhstan participating in the "Do'stlik Cup 2026" international football festival in Tashkent have suffered a deterioration in their health.

According to reports, on October 31, young football players from the city of Karaganda who had breakfast at one of the capital's hotels experienced abdominal pain and elevated body temperature. It is reported that similar symptoms were recorded in 15 children within 24 hours.

According to parents, 8 children who did not eat eggs for breakfast did not show any symptoms of illness. However, it has not yet been determined exactly which product caused the poisoning.

It is reported that a doctor in Tashkent gave the children a preliminary diagnosis of "poisoning." Laboratory test results are not yet known.
