Young Architects of Uzbekistan Get Acquainted with Construction Technologies in China

A delegation of young architects from the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of Uzbekistan is participating in an overseas internship in China, during which they are studying modern building materials, technologies, and advanced approaches to urban planning.

One of the first facilities visited by the delegation was the Sichuan Wangang Metal Product factory, which specializes in the production of metal products.

The delegation members were shown prefabricated metal sheet formwork systems and were informed about their types, technical capabilities, and the advantages of their use in construction.

The use of such systems helps reduce the timeframe and costs of construction work, improve the quality of structures, and comply with seismic safety requirements.

The ability to assemble solid structures from small interconnecting elements facilitates the construction of complex-shaped buildings and high-rise structures. In addition, the reusable nature of the formwork increases the economic efficiency of construction.

During the visit, the young architects exchanged views with Chinese specialists and manufacturers, discussing the prospects of implementing these technologies in Uzbekistan in the construction of multi-story residential buildings, social infrastructure facilities, and high-rise buildings.

At the testing site, they were demonstrated the installation of formwork, concrete pouring, dismantling of the structure after it hardened, and the execution of electric welding work.

Furthermore, an official opening ceremony for the training program for the Uzbek delegation took place in China at the Sichuan College of Architectural Technology. The event was attended by the university leadership, faculty, and representatives of the private sector.

Participants noted the importance of international exchange of experience and the acquisition of modern knowledge and technologies for the development of the construction industry. It was emphasized that the success of reforms largely depends on the qualifications of specialists who possess up-to-date knowledge and practical skills.

The program includes theoretical classes and practical study of advanced solutions. Key areas include the digitalization of urban planning, improving energy efficiency, energy conservation, preserving green zones, and strengthening the environmental sustainability of the urban environment.

The head of the delegation, Advisor to the Minister Umida Boyzokova, thanked the Chinese side for organizing the training and for the conditions created for the participants, urging the young specialists to make the most of the opportunity to gain new knowledge and experience.

In the afternoon, the delegation visited the museum of the Sichuan College of Architectural Technology, opened for the 70th anniversary of the educational institution.

The participants learned about the history of the university, the stages of its development, and its achievements in the field of education and science. After that, they inspected the educational and practical laboratories, modern equipment, and the conditions created for students to apply their acquired knowledge in practice.

The internship is expected to help the young architects broaden their professional horizons, study international experience, and become acquainted with technologies that can be applied in the construction and urban planning practice of Uzbekistan.
