Barcelona striker Lamine Yamal has been named La Liga's best player for the 2025/26 season by the Spanish Footballers' Association. It was the 19-year-old's second consecutive win. He received the award at a ceremony in Madrid.

"We want to win all the trophies. That's the most important thing for us," said the Barcelona striker.
When asked if Atletico Madrid forward Julian Alvarez would be a good fit for Barcelona before the summer transfer window closed, Yamal replied:
"We're doing well right now, you can see that. We're scoring enough goals. He's a great player, obviously, but I'm very happy with our squad."
Yamal also didn't give a clear answer to the question of whether Barcelona's attacking trio is stronger than Real Madrid's.
"It's not a question of competition. But we want to win all the trophies," said the Spanish talent.
