Writer Nabijon Boqiy was given a house

Writer Nabijon Boqiy was given a house

Writer and translator Nabijon Boqiy was allocated a house by the state. Tashkent city khokim Shavkat Umrzoqov presented the keys to the house to the writer as a gift on behalf of the President.

Nabijon Boqiy is primarily known for his work "Qatlnoma" ("The Execution Decree"), dedicated to the repression of Abdulla Qodiriy.

The writer was born on November 7, 1956, in the village of Chuvalanchi, Baghdod district, Fergana region. In 1984, he graduated from the Faculty of Journalism of Tashkent State University. His works such as "Bir muhabbat qissasi" ("A Love Story"), "Gulzamira", "Chingiz afandiga maktublar" ("Letters to Chingiz Efendi"), and "Anvar poshoning vasiyati" ("The Will of Enver Pasha") have been published. Nabijon Boqiy has also worked as a translator. In particular, he translated Robert Louis Stevenson's novels "Kidnapped" and "Catriona" into the Uzbek language.

The writer was awarded the "Shuhrat" medal in 1996.
