The body of an Uzbek man killed in Turkey has been returned to his homeland.

The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul provided assistance to the family of the deceased citizen and arranged for the return of the body to his homeland.

The remains of 36-year-old Oybek Niyozov, an Uzbek citizen who died in the Turkish province of Bursa, have been repatriated and handed over to his family. This information was confirmed by the Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Istanbul.

The diplomatic mission expressed its deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased, who was a native of the Khorezm region.

According to the consulate, Niyozov worked in the Inegol district.

Representatives of the Consulate General provided the relatives with all necessary consular and legal assistance and coordinated organizational matters with the relevant Turkish authorities.

With the active assistance of the Migration Agency of Uzbekistan and thanks to the financial support provided, the body of the deceased was successfully returned to Uzbekistan and handed over to his family.

The circumstances and exact causes of Oybek Niyozov's death are currently being investigated by the competent Turkish authorities in accordance with established procedures.
