Why is Julian Alvarez turning down offers from Premier League clubs?

It has been revealed that Julian Alvarez has personal reasons for rejecting offers from Premier League clubs. The Atletico Madrid striker does not want to return to the English Premier League.

Mundo Deportivo reports that the main reason for this decision is the complexity of migration and visa rules in the UK.

Argentine insider Veronica Brunatti claims that Alvarez's parents and close relatives' residence permits expired while he was playing for Manchester City. Under strict immigration laws adopted after Brexit, a footballer with a work visa can only officially bring his spouse to England. It has become almost impossible to extend the residence permit for parents and other relatives. The striker prefers to live with his whole family.

In Spain, the procedure for obtaining permanent residence and citizenship for South American citizens is much easier than in the UK. Therefore, Alvarez considered it a priority to continue his career in Spain rather than financially attractive offers from English clubs.
