Arsenal offer €80m plus player to sign Alvarez

London club Arsenal continues to pursue the Argentine national team and Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez. According to the Sport publication, the Gunners are offering the Madrid club around €80m plus striker Victor Dioqueres for the transfer.

The Londoners are also ready to pay the Argentine star €25m per year. This is almost twice his current salary. However, the fate of the deal directly depends on the player himself. According to reports, the striker, who defended the honor of Manchester City a few years ago, has no desire to return to the English championship.

Earlier, there were reports that the Catalan club Barcelona was also interested in Julian Alvarez. However, after Atletico demanded at least 150 million euros for the Argentine striker, the Blues were forced to abandon the transfer.

Recall that in 2024, Atletico bought the 26-year-old Argentine from Manchester City for 75 million euros. In the 2025/2026 season, the striker played in a total of 49 matches for Madrid, scoring 20 goals and providing 9 assists.
