When will the heating season start in Tashkent?

Reports have appeared on social media suggesting that heating in Tashkent might only be turned on in December. Against the backdrop of cooling weather, this issue has raised concern among residents, and the capital's khokimiyat clarified the conditions on which the start dates of the heating season depend.

The khokimiyat stated that when determining the start date of the heating season, actual weather conditions will be taken into account, and the heat supply will not be delayed if the cold spell requires it. According to the established procedure, heating is turned on when the average daily air temperature stays below eight degrees for five consecutive days.

Residents will be additionally notified about the date when the heat supply begins. The Ministry of Energy, for its part, plans to develop a strategy for the development of centralized heating up to 2030.
