"We will cure you in 3 days": clinics in Uzbekistan face fines for advertising with promises

The Competition Committee has warned medical organizations about liability for advertising that guarantees treatment results. A fine of 70 BCV (basic calculation value) is stipulated for misleading advertising.

The agency drew attention to formulations such as "we will rid you of the disease forever," "absolutely safe," "we will cure you in three days," and "without side effects."

Such statements can mislead consumers. In addition, clinics are prohibited from advertising services that are not specified in their medical activity license.

According to the Committee, monitoring of medical services advertising will be conducted systematically. If violations are detected, entrepreneurs may be held liable.
