Uztemiryulovchi responded to complaints from passengers who had to stand for almost 200 kilometers. Video

JSC Uztemiryulovchi commented on the situation that has caused discontent among passengers who were forced to stand for nearly 200 kilometers.
Earlier, a video filmed on a train traveling from Sariasiya to Termez circulated on social media. The footage shows a significant number of passengers forced to stand, as all seats were occupied. The authors of the publication claimed that people are forced to stand for almost the entire 200-kilometer journey. Among the standing passengers were elderly people and women with small children. A malfunction of the cooling system in the train car was also reported.
In response to these complaints, Uztemiryulovchi explained that tickets for this train are sold without assigned seats. Passengers occupy empty seats as they board. The company noted that the train consists of four passenger cars, each with 81 seats.
The overcrowding is due to high demand on this route, especially on weekends and holidays. However, the company did not specify the maximum number of tickets that could be sold per trip.
Regarding the complaint about the non-functioning cooling system, Uztemiryulovchi stated that all carriages should be equipped with systems that function reliably during the summer. The circumstances captured on video are currently being investigated by specialists.
Based on the results of the investigation, the company promised to take appropriate measures.
