Uzhydromet warned of the threat of mudflows on August 22–23

Uzhydromet warned of possible mudflows and floods on August 22–23 in the foothills and mountainous areas of seven regions of Uzbekistan.

Uzhydromet has issued a warning about the potential threat of mudflows and floods that could affect the foothills and mountainous regions of Uzbekistan on August 22–23. This is due to expected rainfall.

The meteorological service urges residents and visitors to these areas to exercise caution and take necessary safety measures, as there is a risk of flooding in some areas.

The threat of mudflows and floods is relevant for the following regions:

* **Tashkent Region:** Akhangaran, Bostanlyk, Parkent, Pskent, Urtachirchik, and Yukorichirchik districts, as well as the cities of Angren and Almalyk.

* **Jizzakh Region:** Zaamin, Bakhmal, Gallyaaral, Sharaf-Rashidov, Farish, and Yangiabad districts.

* **Namangan Region:** Pap, Kasansay, Chartak, Chust, Namangan, and Yangikurgan Districts.

* **Fergana Region:** Sokh, Shakhimardan, Fergana, and Beshariq Districts.

* **Andijan Region:** Andijan, Asaka, Jalakuduk, Kurgantepa, Pakhtaabad, Izbaskan, Khodjaabad, and Markhamat Districts, as well as the city of Khanabad.

* **Kashkadarya Region:** Yakkabag, Dehkanabad, Chirakchi, Kitab, Shakhrisyabz, Kamashinsky, and Guzar Districts.

* **Surkhandarya Region:** Saryasi, Uzun, Altynsay, Denau, Baysun, Sherabad, Shurchin, Kumkurgan, and Muzrabat districts.
