More than 140 patrol teams from about 35 countries, including Great Britain, the USA, France, Germany, Italy, Pakistan, and Kazakhstan, participated in the competition.
For 48 hours, the participants underwent complex tests in mountainous, marshy, and hard-to-reach areas. Covering a distance of approximately 70 kilometers, they demonstrated their skills in conducting reconnaissance tasks, developing conditional battle scenarios, overcoming obstacles, and providing first aid to the wounded. They were also tested on their ability to operate under chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear threat conditions.
The "Cambrian Patrol" competition has been held since 1959. Currently, it is organized by the 160th (Welsh) Brigade of the British Armed Forces. The competition aims to test the practical training of military units, exchange experience, and develop international military cooperation.
Uzbekistan's military personnel first participated in the competition in 2017 and took second place. In 2018 and 2019, the team won gold medals. Between 2020 and 2025, the team also earned silver medals.
