As part of the visit of Muhsinkhoja Abdurakhmonov, Director of the Migration Agency, to Croatia, meetings were held with the Croatian Chamber of Economy (HGK), the Croatian Employers' Association (HUP), and local employers.
According to the proposed procedure, the personnel needs of Croatian employers will be submitted to the Migration Agency, while candidates will undergo vocational and language training in Uzbekistan and be selected with the participation of employers.
It is also planned to expedite the processing of work and residence permits for candidates selected through the intergovernmental mechanism.
For now, it is envisaged to begin initial practical work in the fields of construction, welding, and transport.
Candidates are expected to first undergo an online interview, followed by a practical skill test during the Croatian employers' visit to Uzbekistan.
According to information provided by the Croatian side, the starting salary in the construction sector is around 1,300–1,400 euros, and it may be higher for specialists with verified qualifications.
It was also noted that there is a high demand for personnel in tourism, the hotel and restaurant industry, medicine, and retail trade.
