Uzbekistan, Xi’an Expand Business Cooperation Ties

Uzbekistan and China’s Xi’an discussed expanding business cooperation and promoting Uzbek products on the Chinese market through new partnerships.

Uzbekistan and Xi'an are strengthening their business cooperation, with a focus on introducing Uzbek goods to the Chinese market. Discussions took place in Tashkent between representatives from Uzbekistan's Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Xi'an's Committee for the Promotion of International Trade, a Chinese entity. These talks were part of concurrent exhibitions in Tashkent showcasing Chinese brands and "Products of Silk Road Countries."

The Chinese delegation included Dai Xiangsheng, the committee's chairman, and Peng Junjun, its secretary-general. Representing Uzbekistan were Alisher Shaikhov and Jamil Maksudi, both advisers to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, alongside Yorqin Malikov, chairman of the Exporters Association.

A central theme of the meeting was increasing avenues for Uzbek businesses to penetrate the Chinese market. Participants explored avenues for export companies and fostering direct commercial relationships between entrepreneurs from both nations.

The importance of consistent B2B meetings, trade missions, and collaborative business events was also emphasized. It was noted that these activities are instrumental in solidifying practical cooperation between Uzbek and Chinese business communities.

Concluding the discussions, both parties affirmed their commitment to advancing mutually beneficial initiatives, attracting new business collaborators, and broadening market access for entrepreneurs in Uzbekistan and China.
