Uzbekistan will participate in the London Design Festival with a cultural public program

From September 12 to 20, within the framework of the 2026 London Design Festival to be held at the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A) in London (UK), a public program dedicated to national crafts and contemporary art will be presented with the support of the Art and Culture Development Foundation, the foundation's press service reported.

As part of the festival, a Suzani Demonstration (master class) will be held on September 16 by suzani master Yulduz Muhiddinova. Visitors will have the opportunity to get closely acquainted with the technique of suzani embroidery and the language of symbols, which is one of the unique textile traditions of Uzbekistan.

The program will also continue on September 18 with another master demonstration by Yulduz Muhiddinova and two live concerts by Uzbek singer Laylo.

In addition, a new installation titled Sender Unknown by London-based Uzbek artist Aziza Kadiiri will be displayed. Commissioned by the museum, this work draws on the collection of historical suzanis in the V&A collection and explores the connection between artificial intelligence, contemporary art, and traditional craftsmanship.
