Uzbek artisans showcased their work at Homo Faber
Ceramics and artwork by Uzbek masters are being exhibited at the Homo Faber 2026 international exhibition in Venice.
Uzbek artisans are showcasing their creations at the international exhibition Homo Faber 2026: An Island of Light. This contemporary art and craft exhibition in Venice is bringing together representatives from 70 countries, with more than 700 works presented, the Uzbek Foundation for the Development of Culture and Arts reported.
The Uzbek exhibition includes ceramic works by Sanjar Kubayev and Alisher Nazirov called "Moonjars", as well as artistic scissors by Shavkiddin Kamolov.
Uzbekistan is also actively participating in the exhibition's educational program. Diyorobek Abdullayev and Sabina Jorayeva are participating as mediators of the "Young Ambassadors" program within the framework of Homo Faber 2026.
The participation of Uzbek artisans in this event is a continuation of the cooperation between the Uzbekistan Foundation for the Development of Culture and Arts and the Michelangelo Foundation. The cooperation between the two organizations began in 2023 with the launch of the Uzbekistan section of the Homo Faber Guide in Bukhara.
As part of the program of Uzbekistan’s participation, it is also planned to hold master classes on traditional sozana embroidery by Madina Kasimboeva.
This year’s Homo Faber exhibition brings together more than 500 craftsmen from 70 countries and showcases more than 700 works of contemporary artistic craftsmanship.
