The International Chess Federation (FIDE) released the allocation of spots for the 2027 World Cup and Women's World Cup following the Chess Olympiad held in Samarkand.

In the open category, Uzbekistan topped the list of 83 national federations that received qualification spots. India, Germany, the USA, and Azerbaijan follow in the list.

The women's team of Uzbekistan ranked 13th among 45 national federations. The top spots were taken by China, Kazakhstan, India, and the USA.

According to FIDE rules, national federations must determine which players who represented the national team at the Olympiad will represent the country at the World Cup. The candidates must be confirmed between July 1 and July 15, 2027.

In addition, two chess players from Uzbekistan entered the top five strongest players in the world according to the current classical chess ratings: Javokhir Sindarov rose to third place, while Nodirbek Abdusattorov holds the fifth position.
