Uzbekistan studied California's viticulture experience
A delegation from the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan studied viticulture technologies in California and agreed to test promising seedless varieties.

Uzbekistan is adopting Californian viticulture practices.
A delegation from the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan visited California, USA, to study advanced viticulture technologies and the experience of Grapa Global. The visit resulted in agreements to test new seedless grape varieties in Uzbekistan, plant new vineyards, and share knowledge, according to the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan.
During the visit, Uzbek specialists learned about modern breeding methods, grape cultivation technologies, and promising seedless varieties. The parties discussed the possibility of adapting these varieties to Uzbek conditions, including yield, adaptability to the local climate, and export potential.
The delegation also visited a nursery producing planting material and a complex designed for sorting, packaging, cooling, and storing the harvest.
During the meetings, special attention was paid to the development of viticulture based on a full production and marketing cycle, covering all stages from seedling production and grape cultivation to the sale of finished products.
Following the talks, agreements were reached to conduct trials of promising seedless varieties in Uzbekistan, establish new vineyards, and organize an exchange of experience between specialists.
The Uzbek delegation included representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, Agrostar Holding, as well as farmers and entrepreneurs.
