Uzbekistan recruits workers for Belarus under labour migration agreement

Uzbekistan's Migration Agency has initiated a recruitment drive for Uzbek citizens seeking structured employment in Belarus, operating under an intergovernmental labor migration accord. The agency reports that a range of positions are open across various sectors, with initial salaries set at $700.

Applications are now being accepted from individuals keen on participating in this organized recruitment initiative, which is facilitated by the bilateral labor migration agreement. This program offers job placements at prominent Belarusian companies and institutions. Participants have the option to relocate to Belarus either alone or with their families.

The agency stated that minimum monthly earnings begin at $700, with the ultimate compensation determined by an applicant's credentials, professional expertise, and prior work history.

Job openings span multiple fields, including agriculture and animal husbandry, forestry, truck driving in the transportation sector, construction, the operation of specialized machinery such as excavators and tractors, veterinary services, and metalworking and welding.

Eligibility for applications extends to Uzbek citizens aged 18 to 50. Prospective candidates must hold a current driver's license and, if applicable, documentation verifying their qualification to operate specialized equipment. Additionally, applicants must not be subject to any entry restrictions for Russia.

Employers will furnish complimentary dormitory housing, aid in the compilation of necessary paperwork, and cover travel expenditures, including airfare.

The Migration Agency cautioned citizens against independent job searches in Belarus, emphasizing that enrollment in the organized recruitment program ensures guaranteed employment via a signed labor contract and includes oversight of workplace safety standards.
