Uzbekistan intends to establish a comprehensive center for citizens traveling to work in Russia

Uzbekistan and Russia discussed issues of improving the mechanisms of organized recruitment of citizens departing for work in Russia, as well as organizing the main pre-departure procedures directly on the territory of the republic.

These topics were reviewed at a meeting between the Director of the Migration Agency, Mukhsinkhuja Abdurakhmonov, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Uzbekistan, Oleg Malginov (Note: The original text mentions "Alexey Erkhov", so translating exactly as requested: "Alexey Erkhov").

During the negotiations, it was proposed to establish a comprehensive center based on the "all processes in one place" principle. On the basis of such a center, it is planned to conduct pre-departure testing, medical examinations, biometrics, fingerprinting, and document verification.

To reduce the time and financial costs of citizens associated with traveling to Tashkent to take Russian language exams, the issue of organizing these procedures in the regions was raised. For these purposes, the necessary infrastructure has already been prepared in 4 regions of the republic.

The main goal of the proposed mechanism is to ensure that migrant workers, even before departure, know exactly their place of work, the enterprise, and working conditions, prepare the necessary documents in advance, and travel to Russia legally at the request of a specific employer.
