Uzbekistan has joined the Singapore Convention on Mediation.
The President signed a law on Uzbekistan's accession to the UN Convention on International Settlement Agreements Reached through Mediation.

Uzbekistan has become a party to the Singapore Convention on Mediation.

Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has approved a law acceding to the United Nations Convention on International Settlement Agreements Resulting from Mediation (New York, 2018), also known as the Singapore Convention on Mediation. The document was officially published on August 14, 2026.
The bill was passed by the Legislative Chamber on August 4, 2026, and approved by the Senate on August 8, 2026.
In accordance with the provisions of the document, Uzbekistan accedes to the Convention with two reservations.
The first reservation, made in accordance with subparagraph "a" of paragraph 1 of Article 8 of the Convention, states that Uzbekistan will not apply its provisions to settlement agreements if one of the parties is the state itself, any state institution of Uzbekistan, or any person acting on behalf of such an institution.
The second reservation, made in accordance with subparagraph "b" of paragraph 1 of Article 8, stipulates that Uzbekistan will apply the Convention only in cases where the parties to the settlement agreement have expressed consent to the application of the Convention to their relations.
The law was signed in Tashkent on August 14, 2026, under number ZRU-1167.
