Uzbekistan became the world robotics champion

Uzbekistan won the world championship title in robotics

The national team of Uzbekistan achieved a historic success at the international FIRST Global Challenge 2026 tournament, which took place in Incheon, South Korea. The young engineers won all 16 matches, scored 637 points, and received three gold medals.

Teams from nearly 200 countries participated in the competition. The representatives of Uzbekistan demonstrated a high level of technical preparation, engineering thinking, and teamwork, confidently outperforming their rivals. Based on the results of the tournament, the team also set a record for the number of points scored.

This year, the competition was held under the motto Igniting Innovation. The main theme of the tournament was forest fires and the search for technological solutions to combat them.

Participants built and programmed robots that were required to perform tasks related to fire prevention, eliminating the consequences of fires, and restoring affected areas.

Earlier, young engineers from Uzbekistan simultaneously assembled 1.9 thousand miniature robots, setting a world record and entering the Guinness World Records.
