Uzbekistan athletes solemnly send off to the Asian Games

Olympic champion Akbar Djuraev became the flag bearer of the national Olympic team. Meanwhile, world champion Marjona Pardaboeva became the flag bearer of the Paralympic team of Uzbekistan.

A solemn send-off ceremony for the sports delegations of Uzbekistan to the XX Summer Asian Games and V Para Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026 was held at the Museum of Olympic and Paralympic Glory in Tashkent.

At the ceremony, Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov wished the athletes luck and success in the upcoming responsible competitions.

Akbar Djuraev, Tokyo 2020 Olympic champion and Paris 2024 Olympic medalist in weightlifting, received the flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan on behalf of the Olympic sports.

Marjona Pardaboeva, world champion in para-cycling, was presented with the flag of the Motherland on behalf of the Paralympic sports.
