Uzbekistan and the UN discussed the development of social volunteering
The National Agency for Social Protection and UNV discussed the creation of a social volunteering system and expanding volunteer participation.

Uzbekistan and the United Nations held talks on expanding social volunteering.
In Tashkent, the National Agency for Social Protection of Uzbekistan held a meeting with Toyli Kurbanov, Executive Coordinator of the UN Volunteers (UNV) program, to discuss the development of social volunteering in the country.
During the meeting, the parties explored the prospects for creating a stable national system of volunteer assistance in the social sector.
Currently, volunteers are actively involved in the "Volunteers - Inson" and "Mehr" projects, where they, together with social workers, provide support to citizens in need, the elderly, and families facing difficult life circumstances.
At the meeting, proposals were put forward for the further development of social volunteering through the Inson centers. Issues of more actively engaging volunteers in the UN Volunteers program and expanding inclusive volunteering were also discussed.
Following the talks, the parties outlined further steps to strengthen cooperation and implement joint projects in these areas.
