Uzbekistan and Turkey held talks on cooperation in nuclear medicine.
Abdulla Azizov, head of the Agency for the Development of the Medical and Pharmaceutical Industry of Uzbekistan, met with Ismail Dernek, CEO of the Turkish company MNT Sağlık Hizmetleri ve Ticaret A.Ş.
According to the Agency for the Development of the Medical and Pharmaceutical Industry, during the meeting, the parties discussed expanding cooperation in oncology, nuclear medicine, and radiopharmaceuticals, as well as the implementation of promising projects in Uzbekistan.
Particular attention was paid to the prospects for establishing radiopharmaceutical production in Uzbekistan and the development of the corresponding infrastructure.
Furthermore, the participants reviewed the progress of a public-private partnership project aimed at establishing outpatient radiation therapy centers.
Following the talks, the parties agreed to continue working together on promising projects and maintain an active dialogue on their implementation.
