Uzbekistan and South Korea are expanding cooperation in agriculture.

Uzbekistan and South Korea are deepening their partnership in the agricultural sector.

Uzbekistan and South Korea have reached an agreement to expand cooperation in agriculture, agricultural education, and skilled labor training. Following a meeting between representatives of the relevant agencies of the two countries, a memorandum of understanding was signed.

The document was signed by Rustam Nizomov, Director of the Institute for Advanced Training and Retraining of Agricultural Personnel, and Lee Yong-beom, Managing Director of the International Horticultural Research Institute of the Republic of Korea.

During the talks, the parties discussed prospects for further development of bilateral cooperation in the agricultural sector, as well as ways to improve the system for training and professional development of specialists.

One of the key areas of cooperation will be the systematic development of professional knowledge and skills of agricultural workers. The parties also discussed the possibility of modernizing advanced training and retraining programs in accordance with international best practices.

Particular attention was paid to the integration of scientific achievements and practical developments into the educational process. The meeting participants expressed the opinion that cooperation in this area will contribute to the development of specialist training and strengthen the links between professional education, research, and practical activities.

In addition, representatives of the two countries discussed the organization of mutual visits by specialists and experts. Joint seminars, training sessions, and advanced training courses are planned as part of future cooperation.

The signed memorandum is intended to strengthen the legal and organizational foundations of cooperation between the parties. The document also provides for the consistent development of mutually beneficial projects in agriculture and personnel training.
