The Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan and the Department of Justice of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China signed a memorandum of cooperation. The document was signed following a meeting between representatives of Uzbekistan and the Hong Kong delegation, led by Secretary for Justice Paul Lam, according to the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
During the talks, the parties discussed opportunities to expand bilateral legal cooperation and knowledge sharing in lawmaking and legal services. Particular attention was paid to the digitalization of the justice system and professional development.
Meeting participants emphasized international arbitration and alternative dispute resolution. The parties emphasized the importance of practical exchange of experience and the establishment of direct professional ties between experts and specialists from Uzbekistan and Hong Kong.
The signed memorandum establishes key areas for further cooperation in the legal sphere. In particular, the document opens new opportunities for expanding the exchange of experience and specialists between the parties.
Furthermore, the agreement provides for joint events and the implementation of projects of mutual interest.
