Uzbekistan and CISAC discussed issues of copyright protection
Deputy Minister of Justice of Uzbekistan M. Ikramov held a meeting with Regional Director for Europe of the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers (CISAC) and BIEM Mitko Chatalbashev.
During the conversation, the parties reviewed issues of improving the system for the protection of copyright and related rights, developing mechanisms for their collective management, and ensuring the legitimate interests of representatives of creative professions.
Following the negotiations, the need to increase the effectiveness of protecting the rights of authors and other rightsholders, introduce international standards in this area, and further strengthen cooperation was emphasized.
