Uzbekistan and China expand cooperation in the field of building materials

Uzbekistan and China are boosting cooperation in the building materials sector

Prospects for developing cooperation between enterprises of Uzbekistan and China in the production of building materials were discussed on September 9 in Tashkent at a meeting featuring the "Uzsanoatkurilishmateriallari" Association and representatives of leading Chinese companies.

The Chairman of the Board of the Association, Ilyos Rakhimov, briefed the participants on the production potential of the industry.

The main focus of the meeting was on the further expansion of cooperation between Uzbek construction enterprises and Chinese businesses. In particular, the parties considered the possibility of implementing promising projects for the production of window and door systems, door hardware, automatic systems, and solutions for facade glazing.

A separate topic of discussion was the localization of production within Uzbekistan. The participants also reviewed the prospects for implementing joint investment projects and transferring modern technologies.

In addition, the parties discussed opportunities for expanding export-import cooperation between the companies of the two countries.
