Uzbekistan and China discussed projects in the construction sector

Companies of Uzbekistan and China discussed projects on construction, municipal infrastructure, and modernization of heat supply.

**Uzbekistan and China discussed construction projects**

Prospects for cooperation with Chinese companies in the fields of construction and housing and communal services were reviewed in Uzbekistan. During the meeting, special attention was also paid to the modernization of heat supply and the implementation of investment projects.

A meeting was held at the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services with a delegation from China Railway Prefabricated Xinjiang Construction Development Co., Ltd. and Hengkang Technology Kenya Co., Ltd.

During the negotiations, the parties discussed opportunities for expanding mutually beneficial cooperation, introducing modern technologies, and implementing promising projects in the construction and communal sectors.

Special emphasis was placed on the wide use of prefabricated and industrial construction solutions. Issues regarding the use of environmentally friendly construction materials, the production of steel structures, and the implementation of complex projects under EPC terms were also reviewed.

In addition, the parties discussed prospects for implementing projects in the construction and communal infrastructure sectors under EPC+F terms and on the basis of public-private partnerships.

A separate area of the negotiations was the modernization of heat supply systems in Uzbekistan. The parties discussed the construction of cogeneration plants and modern heating centers, as well as the introduction of geothermal heat pump technologies.

At the conclusion of the discussions, an agreement was reached on exchanging information regarding promising projects in the field of heat supply. The Chinese companies will study the proposed projects and prepare proposals on potential terms of financing and cooperation.

The meeting participants also reviewed issues of studying Chinese standards and technical requirements applied in the field of prefabricated construction.

The parties emphasized the importance of introducing advanced technologies to increase the efficiency of construction processes and reduce their environmental impact.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue negotiations in a working order and to exchange project and technical documentation.

It is also planned to develop effective cooperation mechanisms for the implementation of specific projects in the fields of construction, housing and communal infrastructure, and heat supply.
