Uzbekistan and Belarus have agreed to more actively develop joint production facilities

Uzbekistan and the "Minsk" Free Economic Zone have agreed to strengthen industrial cooperation. The parties discussed the promotion of products from Belarusian and Uzbek manufacturers, as well as opportunities for launching joint projects.

During the meeting, the Uzbek side was presented with the investment potential of the "Minsk" FEZ and the high-tech products of its resident enterprises. Special attention was paid to the prospects of industrial cooperation between companies of the two countries.

Anatoly Kalinin, Head of the Administration of the Free Economic Zone, invited Uzbek businesses to use this platform for implementing joint projects. According to him, the preferential conditions in place there provide an opportunity to establish new innovative production facilities.

It was also noted that for further industrial growth, Uzbekistan needs to develop cooperation with neighboring and partner markets. In particular, Belarus is viewed as one of the suppliers of complex components, technologies, engineering, and standards.
