Uzbekistan and Bahrain are discussing the establishment of direct flights

Uzbekistan and Bahrain are discussing the possibility of establishing direct flights between Tashkent and Manama. The parties also agreed to intensify the exchange of tourism statistics and to develop mutual info and press tours. In 2025, 551 tourists from Bahrain visited Uzbekistan.

Uzbekistan and Bahrain are discussing the establishment of direct flights

Uzbekistan and Bahrain have considered the possibility of establishing direct flights between the cities of Tashkent and Manama. This issue was discussed during a meeting between the Chairman of the Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan, Abdulaziz Akkulov, and the Minister of Tourism of Bahrain, Fatima Al-Sairafi, in the UAE, the Tourism Committee reported.

The parties also considered issues of increasing the mutual flow of tourists and strengthening direct contacts between representatives of the tourism sectors of the two countries.

Uzbekistan and Bahrain agreed to establish a regular exchange of information on marketing research results, tourism statistics, and key market trends.

In addition, it is planned to continue mutual info- and press tours for representatives of the tourism sector and the media.

The Bahraini side was invited to participate in the Tashkent International Tourism Fair "Tourism on the Silk Road". The fair will take place on November 25–27.

According to the National Statistics Committee, the flow of tourists from Bahrain to Uzbekistan is growing. In 2023, 192 Bahraini citizens visited the country for tourism purposes, in 2024 — 291, and in 2025 — 551. Over two years, this figure has increased nearly threefold. In 2025, 9 Uzbek tourists visited Bahrain.

Uzbekistan introduced a 30-day visa-free regime for citizens of Bahrain, Kuwait, and Oman starting from June 2025.
