Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) —

On August 13, Uzbek Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade Laziz Kudratov met with a delegation from Qatar's Al Alfia Holding, led by Zainab Al-Yousuf, the company's special representative.

According to the Ministry of Investment, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan, the parties discussed plans to expand the company's operations in Uzbekistan and launch new investment projects.

During the talks, prospects for moving current initiatives into practical implementation, as well as the launch of entirely new projects, were discussed.

The localization of lubricant and chemical production was highlighted as a key area of cooperation. This will involve the use of local raw materials and the introduction of advanced technologies. The possibility of establishing the production of wellhead equipment for oil and gas wells was also discussed.

Particular attention was paid to investment projects planned for New Tashkent. Specifically, the discussion focused on real estate development, the creation of commercial and hotel infrastructure, and the expansion of logistics capacity.

Following the meeting, further steps were outlined to further develop these areas, exchange necessary technical and project information, and promote new Uzbek-Qatari investment initiatives.
