Uzbekistan Airports and My Freighter launch e-commerce route

Uzbekistan Airports, together with the cargo airline My Freighter, have launched a multimodal project for the delivery of e-commerce cargo from China to European countries via Tashkent International Airport.

The new route operates under the Truck-to-Air scheme, which combines road and air transport into a single logistics chain. Cargo from various cities in China is first transported by road to Tashkent, where it undergoes the necessary processing procedures. It is then sent by air to Liège Airport in Belgium.

The project was launched on August 22, 2026. To date, seven cargo flights have been operated under this framework.

In the next phase, it is planned to increase the frequency of shipments to four to six flights per week. The payload of each aircraft is approximately 50 tons. If the planned frequency is achieved, the volume of shipments could reach 200–300 tons of e-commerce cargo per week.

Kamoliddin Bukharov, Head of Cargo Operations at Uzbekistan Airports, emphasized that the project will leverage Tashkent's transit potential as a multimodal hub between Asia and Europe.

"By combining air and land transport, we are creating an efficient logistics route connecting China's largest e-commerce centers with European markets," he said.

According to him, the implementation of the project will contribute to the further development of Uzbekistan's transit potential and strengthen Tashkent's position in international logistics.
