Uzbekistan Air Force has received the C-390 Millennium aircraft manufactured in Brazil

The Brazilian company Embraer has delivered the first C-390 Millennium multi-mission military transport aircraft to the Uzbekistan Air Force. The delivery ceremony took place at the company's production facility in Gavião Peixoto, Brazil.

The ceremony was attended by the Commander of the Uzbekistan Air Force, Major General Akhmad Burkhanov, and the Director of the "Uztextrade" state enterprise, Olimkhon Bakiyevich Rustamov.

The contract between the parties was signed at the end of 2024, and in addition to the aircraft, it includes specialist training, technical support, and the supply of spare parts.

With this, Uzbekistan has become the first country in Central Asia to operate the C-390 Millennium aircraft.

The C-390 Millennium can carry a payload of up to 26 tons and fly at a speed of 470 knots. This aircraft can be used for transporting cargo and troops, aerial delivery, medical evacuation, search and rescue, firefighting, and humanitarian operations. It can also operate from unpaved or temporary runways.

When equipped with special gear, the C-390 is capable of aerial refueling for other aircraft or receiving fuel in the air itself.

According to Embraer, in addition to Brazil, this aircraft has also been selected by Portugal, Hungary, South Korea, the Netherlands, Austria, the Czech Republic, Sweden, the UAE, Slovakia, Colombia, and Lithuania.
