Uzbekistan, ADVANCED Agree to Develop Pharmaceutical Production

Uzbekistan and Russian company ADVANCED signed a memorandum to develop pharmaceutical production, localize medicines and transfer technologies.

Uzbekistan and the Russian firm ADVANCED have reached an agreement to collaborate on enhancing pharmaceutical manufacturing, localizing drug production, and facilitating the transfer of cutting-edge technologies.

On August 20, Abdulla Azizov, director of the Agency for the Development of the Medical and Pharmaceutical Industry, held discussions with representatives from ADVANCED, a Russian company established by Indian entrepreneur Rajesh Sharma.

Following their meeting, a memorandum of cooperation was signed by both parties, with the objective of advancing pharmaceutical production within Uzbekistan, as announced by the Agency for the Development of the Medical and Pharmaceutical Industry.

The discussions during the talks focused on potential avenues for expanding pharmaceutical production, localizing medicines, and transferring advanced technologies. A significant emphasis was placed on establishing new manufacturing facilities and fostering research and development (R&D) initiatives.

Furthermore, the parties explored strategies for broadening the array of pharmaceutical products, integrating modern technologies into production workflows, and ensuring that manufactured goods adhere to international quality benchmarks.

ADVANCED representatives received an overview of the opportunities available for setting up pharmaceutical production in Uzbekistan, regional development strategies, and the supportive environment established for executing investment projects.

The memorandum outlines a framework for cooperation that includes developing pharmaceutical production, localizing products, transferring technologies, and implementing contemporary pharmaceutical solutions.
