Uzbek judokas will compete for Grand Slam medals in Switzerland.

Judokas from Uzbekistan will compete in the Grand Slam tournament, which begins today, August 28, in Lausanne, Switzerland. The Uzbek delegation includes 21 athletes: 10 men and 11 women.
The competition will run until August 30, bringing together more than 500 judokas from 77 countries.
On the first day of the tournament, Uzbekistan will be represented by:
* **Men:** Samariddin Kuchkorov and Bakhrom Baturov (up to 60 kg), Abdurakhim Nutfulloev and Azizbek Ortikov (up to 66 kg).
* **Women:** Laziza Khaidarova and Ulbusin Khakimova (up to 48 kg), Sita Kadamboeva and Sodiyona Rafkatova (up to 52 kg).
In the coming days, other members of the national team will also take to the tatami, including Muzaffarbek Turaboev, Ernazar Sarsenbaev, Umida Nigmatova, and Iriskhon Kurbonboeva, who will compete in their respective weight classes.
As a reminder, Uzbekistan's judokas previously performed successfully at the World Junior Championships in Ecuador, winning one gold and three bronze medals on the first day of competition.
