Used car tires to be utilized in road construction in Uzbekistan

Hungary's MOL Group and Uzbekistan's SHB ROAD INVEST company have reached an agreement on introducing rubber-modified bitumen (RMB) production technology for road construction in our country.

Negotiations on this matter were held at a meeting organized in Budapest with the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan. The value of the project under consideration is estimated at $35 million.

This technology involves using rubber crumbs obtained by recycling used car tires as an additive to road bitumen. This allows for the use of secondary raw materials in the production of road construction materials.

At the end of the negotiations, SHB ROAD INVEST was involved as the partner from the Uzbek side for the project. The parties signed a memorandum of cooperation on jointly developing opportunities for introducing the technology in our country.

As a result of the project's implementation, it is planned to develop the production of modern road construction materials, increase the volume of used car tire recycling, and expand technological cooperation between the enterprises of Uzbekistan and Hungary.
