US judge rejects Ghislaine Maxwell's 'frivolous' appeal against conviction

The former Jeffrey Epstein accomplice loses her latest effort to be released from prison.

A US judge has denied Ghislaine Maxwell's most recent attempt to overturn her sex trafficking conviction, labeling her arguments as "frivolous" and "meritless."

Maxwell, who is 64 years old, is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence. She was convicted in December 2021 for her involvement in procuring girls for the deceased sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

She had sought to appeal her five felony convictions, asserting that her constitutional rights had been "violated in multiple respects." However, a New York judge outright dismissed the appeal, characterizing it as "lengthy and rambling."
